ELD Asia Report
The ELD Initiative is currently finalizing the work on the new regional report in cooperation with the UN Environment Programme:
"The Economics of Land Degradation Neutrality in Asia: Empirical Analysis & Policy Implications to SDGs"
The main objective of this study is to assess the economic benefits and costs towards achieving land degradation neutrality in Asia, and drive policy implications as to how investment on sustainable land management is cost-effective. The report also aims at assessing the the policy implications of achieving SDG 15.3 on achieving other SGDs, in particular related to economic growth, rural employement, poverty reduction and food security.
The final results from the 44 Asian countries and 2 Chinese provinces will be published soon.
