Finally, our ELD Campus is ready and launched. As the centerpiece of the Knowledge Hub it provides a variety of tools and methodological approaches, jointly developed with our network of partners.
In late October, our ELD Ambassadors made their way to Germany to attend the ESP World Conference in Hanover and to visit the ELD Secretariat and GIZ in Bonn.
ELD Initiative will co-host and participate in several side events at the 14th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (COP14), 2–13 September 2019.
ELD Initiative will attend the 10th ESP World Conference from 21st to 25th October in Hannover. Our team will present the Initiative´s current work and invite to a session on how the network can create sustainable policy impacts.
ELD Initiative is looking for peer reviewers, who would like to review our latest scientific reports on the economics of land degradation and restoration in West and East Africa.
ELD Initiative attended the ESP regional conference Africa 2019 in Togo together with five of our ambassadors and our partners from University of Leeds. They presented ELD Initiative’s focus of work in the context of the Regreening Africa Project.
In July, an ELD network meeting took place in Nairobi, Kenya, to discuss the progress within the EU-BMZ-funded project #RegreenAfrica as well as next steps for the Initiative in general and future engagements.
In the middle of January, members of the ELD Initiative came together for a three-day workshop at the ELD Secretariat in Bonn, Germany, to discuss the activities for the upcoming months.
