ELD continues to strengthen its links with the Icelandic Land Restoration Training Program under the auspices of UNESCO (GRO-LRT) when Richard Thomas, Scientific Coordinator of ELD taught a two-day course to 19 fellows on the ELD approach and methodology leading to a cost-benefit analysis of sustainable land management options. The fellows hold positions such as government conservation and environmental officers to academic lecturers, research institutes and NGOs in their respective countries in Africa and Central Asia.
