As the year 2019 approaches its end, the first case studies of ELD's component of the "Regreening Africa" project have been finalised and the results will presented and soon also published. Three dissemination workshops are already taking place this month in Senegal, Niger and Ghana.
ELD wants to provide policy makers with scientific information on the economic consequences of land degradation. In order to make the economic assessments applicable and ensure their relevance, exchange and collaboration between researchers and decision-makers is essential. The goal is to integrate the results of the case studies into the political process, therefor ELD organises workshops on site to promote dialogue between science and politics.
